...there are a few things that I've learned. Mainly? A lot of things never change. It's nice to know there's options though. This is the best city I've ever lived in... and taking two steps to the right of my comfort zone has opened up even more beauty and richness. I'm surprised more people don't do it... but I can understand why too. I mean, we still wound up in our favorite spots as the evenings would wind down.
Some highlights:

...I'll go ahead and mention the "Different" thing we're doing this weekend.
So you've heard me mention Chris Kalima, like, oh a million times already. He is kind of known around these parts as the dude that gets [cool] shit done. The list of projects is long but just trust me on this... the guy is friggin epic.
His latest activity is nothing to be afraid of... just 48 or so people having a rather large picnic with superduperfun games. Olympic games. For $25 you are taken care of completely by Kalima himself and get to meet all sorts of new and interesting people that may or may not already be in cahoots with this extraordinary dude.
The teams are randomly put together so this is really an opportunity to have a lot of fun, if meeting people is fun to you. There will be PLENTY of beer so just in case you're shy you might... not be.
GAMES people. Games in the park. With beer. and Kalima. He's actually opened this up to anyone that wants to play so I highly suggest grabbing one of the 12 spots that are left.
SIGN UP. I'm playing.
Continuing on with "Different Week" we're going to the wine club tonight to see Cass and try stuff and act like we know what we're doing. That should be fun. Tomorrow is ice skating as you know. I'll keep you posted. It's fun to be different sometimes. We'll see...

...oh who are we kidding. Summer is SO here. I mean, come on. All the college hotties are home. The pool parties at the Sheraton are in full swing. There was hell-a people at the sandbar. I'm tan. It's like 80 degrees out at 11am. SUMMER.
So listen I'm working SUPER hard on getting these two photo blog updates done. iJustine is now livestreaming on justin.tv tho so it's crazy hard to stay focused today. By the end of the day tho. Promise!
Highlights? OK!

It's about time someone else step it up in the photo blog world. At least here in Hawaii. I understand that being consistent involves a bit of obsession but I think once people get started they realize that they can't stop. I'm assuming it's very similar to black tar heroin, actually. Your close friends start to say "hey! take a picture of THIS!" and your not-so-close friends start to say "grrrreat. now the whole internet is going to know [fill in the blank]"
But I digress. I don't think there can be ENOUGH photo bloggers in this world, ESPECIALLY in Hawaii. It makes sure between all of us that everything is covered. I try to keep up with all of them all over the world-- but pay particular attention to the ones here. One of note, DanceonPartyon.com, has just launched.
This is a project by the colorful indie kid Dan Weaver. Cut n Sewn Dan Weaver. He's a doll and I'm loving the style. Make sure you check it out. Bookmark it. Tell everyone. Etc.
Some other bloggers here of note? Kalima. DUH! Race also handles a lot of the VJ inside scoop. Mana has the not-so-easy-to-break-in-to north shore crew on lock. It's a lovely Hawaii-interweb thanks to people like this.
PS: It's Friday. SOFA KING looking forward to this weekend. I'll tell you what's happening later. Gotta get to work.
